These cards clearly have an elegant back design. They also have a nice theme for the cards faces, as good as any other deck I've bought. Getting these two features together is rare - usually costing double the price.
The cards dribble perfectly out of the box. Most other decks have to be worn in, and even after a month's use, when riffling more easily, they are worn out from handling. It is important to me, as a hobbyist magician, to do card dribbling. The deck is perfect for magic or Cardistry.
If you are a collector, you'll want the deck for its visuals. For basic card play, the features of the deck are overkill but given the price and the visuals, the deck is still great.
I only have one other deck that competes, but it isn't as good because the faces are too standard and the cards are much heavier, whereas these cards are thin and closely match the other makes and models.
The only disadvantages are for some magic work. Although there is a card with a different coloured back, I would have preferred a two colour double-backer for colour change tricks. And the main reveal Joker holds a card so small that I can't see it, so it's not good for using as a reveal. The other Joker simply shows a card back reveal, not face, not useful to me either.
Although Ellusionist makes gaff decks, it seems that they can't be used with this deck, which is unfortunate if you want to do gaff tricks.
Great product and will likely be the deck of choice, or perhaps another Ellusionist deck. Only thing I haven't tested yet is the deck's longevity.
The deck handles really well out of the back. The design is nice and emerald green looks really good.
